September 21, 2016 – China Law & Practice (CLP), part of the American Lawyer Media Group, recognized this year’s winners of the coveted “China Law & Practice Awards” in an awards ceremony in Beijing. In attendance were representatives of dozens of leading law firms and in house legal teams. This year, the Insurance Practice of Jincheng Tongda & Neal (JT&N), led by Elizabeth Lan Lan, was honored by selection as the 2016 “Insurance Firm of the Year” for China, edging out five other finalists in this highly competitive category.

JT&N’s Insurance Practice encompasses the full spectrum of insurance industry-related matters, including: strategic advice; transactional M&A and formation of joint ventures; establishment of green-field insurance operations; reorganization; structuring complex reinsurance arrangements; third-party administration out-sourcing; regulatory compliance; insurance funds investment and dispute resolution. The team is led by Ms. Lan and also includes Elsie Shi and George Yu (JT&N Partners), John Bolin (Senior International Counsel), Celia Luan (Senior Associate), and Mary Xu and Nigel Xie (Associates).
According to CLP’s announcement, the 2016 winners were determined on the basis of surveys that focused the influence of law firms and attorney teams inside the legal industry and customer evaluations, as well as contributions to China’s legal industry. All research and judging was conducted by the editorial teams of ALM’s China Law & Practice, The Asian Lawyer/The American Lawyer and Legal Week.
