On February 28 2017, the China Business Law Journal (CBLJ) formally announced the results of the 2016 China Business Law Awards, aiming to award firms for their outstanding legal service throughout the year, as nominated by China-focused corporate counsel and legal professionals from around the world. This year, JT&N received awards in four categories, including the fourth consecutive win by JT&N’s Chambers “Band 1” ranked International Trade/WTO Practice:
In its announcement, CBLJ emphasized achievements of JT&N practices, noting landmark matters and accolades from satisfied clients who remarked, for example, that “JT&N’s team is responsible, client-oriented and commercially savvy.” These awards underscore JT&N’s outstanding performance and diligent work in the past year, and also showcase the extensive scope of the firm’s expertise. The China Business Law Journal is a prominent legal trade journal published by Vantage Asia Publishing Limited, an international professional publishing company headquartered in Hong Kong. Each year, the China Business Law Journal China Business Law Awards recognize those law firms which are believed to have given the strongest support to their clients. The 2016 awards have, as in previous years, been chosen by the magazine’s independent editorial board comprised of business leaders, corporate counsels, private practice attorneys, and academics.
In determining the winners, the nominations were considered carefully in combination with other factors, such as each firm’s landmark deals, cases and other notable achievements the past year, and interviews with law firm clients.
