On February 27, 2019, China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission approved Chubb Limited’s increase of its ownership in Huatai Insurance Group from its current 20% to 26.2%. With the increased Chubb stake, Huatai becomes the first Sino-foreign joint venture insurance group company (holding company) in China.
