Justin Cai started his legal practice from 2003. Before joing in JT&N in 2019, Justin has had many years’ work experience with King & Wood, Weil Gotshal, McDermott Will & Emery (China Office) and Zhong Lun Law Firm, and his practice areas mainly include cross-border M&A, life science, pharmaceutical and healthcare, cyber-security and data-protection, dispute resolution, unfair competition investigation, financing for start-up companies. Justin has successfully assisted foreign and Chinese clients in completing over 150 projects in these areas, with total project value amounting to USD 20 billion. In these projects, Justin has taken major responsibilities in legal/compliance due diligence, responding to government investigations, handling commercial disputes, designing deal structures and legal documentations, and has handled numerous compliance issues such as data-protection and privacy, anti-bribery, anti-fraud etc. Justin also published many professional articles in his practices and was frequently invited as guest speaker on hot legal topics. Most of Justin’s clients are market leaders in their industries, which include 3M, Eli Lilly, Covidien, DaVita, GAP, CVRD, Invista, WWF, AVIC, Warburg, Ford Finance, Duke Kunshan University, SCB, ICBC International, China Union Pay etc.
