On March 20, 2012, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced its preliminary decision on imposing anti-subsidy tariffs on the PV products of China. To respond to the situation and protect the interests of Chinese enterprises, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and other relevant authorities jointly held a symposium on “responding to the U.S. antidumping and anti-subsidy investigation of the Chinese PV industry” on March 26, to which WTO experts and lawyers with experience in international trade lawsuits were invited for views and comments.

Among them was JT&N partnerFu Xin, who relied on JT&N’s many years of experience in representing the Chinese government in responding to the anti-subsidy investigation to provide MIIT leaders with suggestions on coping with it. The results of the symposium were highly valued by MIIT leaders. On April 10, MIIT Minister Miao Yu personally issued written comments requiring MIIT to help related enterprises face up to the allegations actively and protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises.
